Race season approaches at Seymour Speedway
N.E.W. DIRT will be holding a practice session at Seymour Speedway Saturday, March 28.
The practice is open at anyone wishing to test and tune their cars for the upcoming season.
Pits will open at noon. Pit passes for everyone entering the pits will be $15.
Practice will start at 1 p.m. and last as long as cars want to take laps.
The grandstand will be open FREE.
There will be another practice session at the track Friday evening, April 3, from 5 – 8 p.m. for anyone wishing to get a final test in before the Spring Thaw which will take place Saturday, April 4. Pit pass will be $15.
The Thaw will take place during the afternoon with Budweiser IMCA Modifieds, Stock Cars and SportMods, Street Stocks and 4 Cylinders. Joining the program will be the WDLMA Late Models.
The IMCA divisions will be sanctioned and earn regional, state and national points. Track points will not start until April 19.
Pits will open at 10 a.m. Pit passes for everyone will be $30.
All cars will draw/ re-draw. Draw will close at noon.
The schedule of events is as follows:
Drivers meeting at 12:15 p.m.
Racing at 1 p.m.
Grandstand will open at 11 a.m.
Tickets:
Adults 19-55 are $15
Students 13-18 and seniors 55+ are $10
Kids 12 and under are FREE with paid adult.
Racing is scheduled to continue at Seymour Speedway Saturday, April 11. It will be the rain date for the Thaw if needed, or a regular racing program. Sunday, April 12 is also a rain date if needed. Start time will be 1 p.m. that weekend. No other local tracks start until April 18.
The 2015 point season will start on Sunday April 19 with racing at 5:30 p.m.
The track has been worked for two weeks and is ready to go.
