(Sturgeon Bay, WI) April 17, 2014 – The 2nd Annual John Soukup Memorial will pay $1,000 to the winner and $150 to start the feature. Draw re-draw will set the field. This special event will take place, Friday, July 4. Luxemburg Speedway has the night off. All 5 divisions will be in action.
It’s also Topless Night for the SportMods. All SportMods must remove their roofs to be eligible for $1,000 top prize. I’ll repeat that, in order to claim the $1,000 for the win you must have the roof and sail panels removed. If not standard pay applies.
It will NOT be a track point night for the Modifieds, Stock Cars or SportMods but will be IMCA sanctioned with National, State and Regional points. This is done so competing drivers at the Oshkosh Speedzone can stay in the points chase.
Entry for the event will be same price as a regular event. Non-members are $25 and members are $20. No extra fees!
Modifieds, Stock Cars and SportMod lineups will be through draw re-draw for heats and features. It will be a regular point night for the IMCA Hobby Stocks and Street Stocks. $1 Busch Light with paid wristband.
“The winners purse could rise, last year it doubled as local Bernie Reinhardt took home the win,” stated track promoter Woody Wodack; “John was a great friend and keeping his memory alive at the track he loved makes it a special night for everyone who comes in the gate. We’re looking for some solid competition from outsiders and our locals.”
This night will count towards the $20,000 contingency. You will be allowed to miss three nights of racing and still remain in the drawing.
