JEFFERSON, WI (Tuesday, April 22, 2014) –  The 2014 racing season kicks off at Wisconsin’s action track, Saturday, April 26 with the annual Spring Sizzler season opener. This year marks the 63rd year of racing action at Jefferson Speedway. Once again, six divisions will take to the tricky quarter mile speed plant in a quest for championship glory. Each division seems to have mutiple competitors capable of staking their claim to a title.

2013 Late Model champ, Dale Nottestad, returns to defend his crown. Who will step up to challenge the five time feature winner of last season? I

n the Sportsman division, can Jason Thoma pick up where he left off last season and knock off 2013 champion, Jim Tate Jr?

Mike Lambert will take a shot at a third straight International title, but does he have enough to hold off drivers such as Chris Chenoweth? The

Hobby Stock division is stacked with talent once again as Bobby Selsing Jr returns to defend his title from a season ago. Can he repeat? It will be a tough task.

Add in the competition in the Road Warrior division as well as the Bandits and you have the recipe for a fantastic season of racing.

The TUNDRA Super Late Model Series returns again this year after a successful debut at Jefferson Speedway in 2013. The MId-American Stock Car Series joins them as well as the IMCA Vintage Cars on June 21.
